They do say that imitation is the best form of flattery, but sometimes, it goes ‘oh so wrong’, that the idea of flattery is a mere myth. As the world gears up, with bated breath for many, for the Season 6 premier of Game of Thrones, it seems another daily soap closer home decided to pay its tribute to GoT. Except, the directors of the hit drama would probably be cringing at this one.
The latest promo of the famous Hindi series Sasural Simar Ka tries to do a Hall of Faces and fails so terribly that we’re not sure whether to laugh or cry. Take a look at the promo yourself.

But we shouldn’t be as surprised with this direct copy of GoT. Last year, another Hindi TV series ‘Chakravartin Ashok Samrat’ brought in a character that looked so much like the hunk Khal Drogo. Can you see the uncanny resemblance?

The story revolves around the two sisters, Simar (Dipika Kakar) and Roli (Avika Gor), who marry brothers Prem Bharadwaj (Shoaib Ibrahim/Dheeraj Dhoopar) and Siddhanth Bharadwaj (Manish Raisinghani), respectively and how the two sisters become perfect daughters-in-law of the Bharadwaj family by handling different problems.
The story forwarded by the lots of twist and turns with Simar and Roli defeating Khushi, Veeru, Jhanvi, Shaurya, Meghna, Jwala Devi, Vikrant, Mausiji, Rajveer and Rajeshwari.The story line takes 2 years leap and marks the entry of some supernatural creatures who want to destroy the Bharadwaj Family. But Simar and Roli togetherly defeat all the supernatural creatures like Sunaina (Ghost), Maya (Icchadhari Naagin), Mohini (Daayan), Indravati (Daayan), Gayatri (Patali Devi), Maalti (Daayan), Madhavi (Ghost) and Shaitan (Devil). But eventually Roli gets killed while saving Simar from the Shashtra of Shaitan and Patali Devi. After Roli's death Siddhanth blames Simar for the loss of Roli and decides to leave the house but Mata Ji (Jayati Bhatia) handles the situation and stops Siddhant. Prerna (Mansi Srivastava) (Simar's friend) and Simar organise Baisakhi to bring the family out of their sorrow and welcomes happiness. But a new supernatural creature Chandramani enters and plays havoc in the life of Simar.There is the new twist in the plot that will turn Simar into Makkhi (housefly) from the shraap (curse) of gurudev. But with many difficulties she changes herself from Makkhi and defeat Chandramani. Whole Bharadwaj family decides to celebrate Simar's birthday but new twist arises and marks the entry of New Daayan who want to destroy the tale of Simar and whole Bharadwaj Family. Now how Simar defeat Daayan with the help of Prerna.
